Sports Premium
At Ranby C of E Primary School, we are passionate about providing high-quality physical education and sporting opportunities for every child. Through the effective use of our PE and Sport Premium funding, we aim to develop pupils' physical skills, confidence, teamwork, resilience and lifelong enjoyment of sport. Our pupils take part in the Daily Mile and this is embedded into daily life at Ranby.
We are proud to have achieved the Platinum School Games Mark, recognising our commitment to inclusive, competitive and engaging sporting experiences. Pupils benefit from a broad and balanced PE curriculum, a wide range of extracurricular clubs, participation in local competitions and opportunities to develop leadership skills through sport. Our vision is to ensure that all children leave Ranby with the knowledge, skills and enthusiasm to lead healthy, active lives to enable them to live out our flourishing school vision to, Shine as Lights in the World(Philippians 2:15) and enable A Love of Learning for Life and for All (John 13:34).
We celebrate the achievements of our pupils both in and out of school each week in our Celebrations Assesmbly. Each year, we appoint pupil Sports Leaders to lead on sport throughout our school. They are committed to improving activity and wellbeing during break and lunch times. They take their role incredibly seriously, ensuring equipment is organised and suitable to play with, plan and lead on games for the other children to take part in, taken on advice to help improve activities and consider any new equipment and how it will enhance our provision.
We are fortunate to have a very supportive PTFA who support the values of our school community, particularly the importance of encouraging an active lifestyle and support us with events such as Sports Day and the Colour Run.
